Avaya Converged Communications

Avaya Converged Communications Server (CCS) provides a straightforward evolutionary path to presence-based communication that facilitates collaboration, boosts productivity, and lowers costs. CCS creates a SIP-based foundation for the SIP-enablement of Avaya's entire family of IP-based communications applications-which encompasses telephony, unified communications, messaging, contact centers, and mobility.

Initially, CCS works with Avaya Communication Manager 2.0 to seamlessly integrate presence-based SIP telephony with today's voice networks, and to extend the power of Avaya voice communications to a wide range of standards-based devices, agents, and applications. It also works with Avaya IP Softphone R5 to create a secure enterprise-class Instant Messaging solution that integrates multi-modal voice and instant messaging communications over a common user interface.
